screensize not right

Mon Feb 01, 2016 7:55 pm

Hello,

I have recently bought a 7" touchscreen display from Raspberry Pi. But when i use it, not the entire screen is used, i have black borders. I think this is also the reason the touch screen is not right calibrated.
I tried editing the overscan configurations in the config.txt but it didn't work.

Help please?

It's most likely still a overscan or framebuffer setting that is resizing the screen from it's default. If you're using NOOBS it will have added settings at the very bottom of the file, and they will override anything earlier.

Make a copy of "config.txt" first, name it "config.txt.orig" or something.
Then go through config.txt and comment out every line that has anything to do with overscan or framebuffer. Then see what that does.
