Raspbmc + HDMI + standard 3.5mm jack (AUX)

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me out.

Actual condition:
- got my raspbmc up and running
- everything is fine, streaming movies with sound over HDMI to my TV
- Airplay works fine with my Android Device

I guess it's not really possible, but...
do you think there is a way to output the sound over HDMI and the standard 3.5mm jack (at the same time)?

The reason why I want to do this:
Without having the TV on, streaming music from my Android to my HiFi system.

Wanted to do the same
Apparently the sound driver (alsa) is too alpha right now for dual audio.

What would work is if xbmc actually allowed to seperately set different audio device for movies and music; this won't need a proper driver support, just a small (?) software rewrite.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to delve into the depth of the xbmc source code and this request has been queuing for ages (just check out the xbmc forums)

Can I ask how to set the aux > hdmi as sound? I need to do this because of the way my surround sound is set up.

This was solved in the newest version RaspBMC (based on my reply time), I did something and sound go out from both HDMI and 3.5mm jack.

Are you replying to me? I didn't meet similar issue, sound syncs of HDMI and Stereo on my RaspBMC system.

BTW, based on my experience, this was solved by newest RaspBMC, with some configs users are able to hear sound from both HDMI and 3.5mm jack.
However, that doesn't realize on my Raspbia+XBMC(which installed by following this post: http://michael.gorven.za.net/raspberrypi/xbmc
