Remote Desktop Issues

Fri Jan 01, 2016 12:25 am

Today I set up my Raspberry Pi 2 Model B to be accessible over my wireless network. I decided to use xrdp since I wanted to be able to interact with my pi the exact way I would if I had it hooked up to a monitor. The first few hours went flawlessly, then all of a sudden when I minimized the Windows Remote Desktop Connection tool and then re maximized it, all I saw was a black screen. I waited for a long time expecting for it to render in, to no avail. I know that it is not an issue with the pi itself because I can still SSH into it using putty, with no GUI of course, and the website I have hosted on it is still running. I was wondering if anybody else had experienced this "black screen problem". I tried googling solutions for a couple hours but nothing out there already fixed my problem.

Thanks in advance!

Still having this extremely frustrating issue, if anybody has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

Have you configured your Wireless adapter to not go into power saving mode? Try wiring your RPi to your network router/switch and see if XRDP still does the same thing after a couple of hours.
