Raspberry Pi 2 HDMI output flashes intermittently

Mon Dec 28, 2015 3:57 pm

I was given a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B as a present and am having problems with the HDMI output flashing off and on about every 2 seconds.

The Pi 2 boots up just fine using Raspbian (installed via NOOBS) and the text screen scrolls just fine until the GUI Screen appears .... then the screen flashes off and on about every 2 seconds.

Everything else seems to work fine including a RT5370 WiFi adapter on the USB port.

Is this a fault and if so, what is the best way to get it serviced or replaced?

Try another TV.
Try another HDMI cable.

If the problem persists then RMA it for a replacement.

I had the same issue with C1's ... and it was resolved with higher quality HDMI cables.
