DOA Zero

Mon Dec 07, 2015 7:33 pm

My daughter and I bought the magazine with free PiZero. We already have other Pi, so we expected no problems. We ordered the header pins and adapters from the swag store. Tonight we put in a mini sd from another working Pi, powered up. Neither PiZero has sign of life. No power LED.

Help would be appreciated.

On the other Pi do a sudo apt-get update and upgrade, then insert in the zero.

Download the latest Raspbian, put it on the card and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

Yes but Raspbian Wheezy or Jessie ?

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo reboot

When you ran apt-get update it states what repository it is accessing :?

But IF it is Wheezy apart from what I listed above also run:

Code: Select all

sudo rpi-update
sudo reboot
