[SOLVED] Does Maplin Game Capture HD work with Pi B+

Sun Dec 06, 2015 10:57 am

EDIT: Confirmed, it works :)
I was wondering if this would work with the Raspberry Pi?

Specifically, I was wondering if I could record video output from my Pi to an SD card using it?
I know there may be a few resolution problems involved with this, that's why I'm asking. Also, does the Pi output encrypted HDMI (HDCP) or normal HDMI? As another note, do you think the quality of this thing is good enough, or should I get a more expensive capture card? Thanks to anybody who can help me out with this.

Well, it works with my laptop, so I assume it works with the Pi as well. Merry Christmas everybody!
PS. I'm not advertising or anything, but it's a great product. :)
EDIT: Confirmed. It works. Of course the Pi can't provide enough power through its USB ports to power it, so you would have to use a powered hub or another PC (I did), but it does work. :)
