RCA Video/Audio on RPI Zero

Sat Dec 05, 2015 5:29 pm

Hey,

Alot of people have mentioned that its possible to use an hdmi/vga converter to connect their RPI to a monitor. I was wondering if it's possible to use something like this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-HDMI-To-3RCA ... SwgNRV8imq to connect to an older tv with audio/video on the RPI Zero.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

This doesn't look promising...

"This product is only for connecting HDMI game player (NOT PC, DVD, set-top boxes)to TV. "

I don't know how it works and what's different about a game player, l thought hdmi was hdmi but maybe not.

NOTE: This product is only for connecting HDMI game player (NOT PC, DVD, set-top boxes)to TV. It can just for signal transmission, not for signal conversion. Please check whether your device has got signal conversion function before you buy. If not, our product may not applicable to your device.

Highly unlikely ;)

Looking at its price and size, it's probably just a cable with connectors.
Quite what puts out analogue video on an HDMI socket I don't know, but the Pi certainly doesn't

Would this work though? How about for audio only?

It's more likely to work, but I'm not sure and it should be able to do audio only.
