Connecting to smartphone

Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:14 am

Hi everybody!

I have bought a raspberry pi 2b and want to connect it to my smartphone via some apps (e.g raspi check).. the raspberry is connected via cable to the router. smartphone is connected via w-lan.

the problem i think is the app:
it recommends a name: which name?
ssh port: 22 is default (i also tried 24)
hostname/ip: i tried 10.0.0.13 (static ip i assigned to the raspberry)
ssh username: ???? i tried raspberrypi
authentication: password: where do i find this password?
sudo password: is this the root password? or a normal user password? anyway, they are both the same and neither of them work

with ohter apps i got the same problems.

The username is 'pi' and the password (if you didn't change it, but you should :) ) 'raspberry'.
The root password isn't set when you didn't do it. :)
The ssh port should be 22 except when you changed it.

does the raspberry have to be logged out?
how do i find out the ssh user name?
and what is a ssh password and how can i find it out?

You have already heen told that the username is pi and the password is raspberry.

Being logged in or out from a keyboard on the RPi is irrelevant.

Port forwarding is totally irrelevant for LAN-LAN or LAN-WLAN or WLAN-WLAN traffic.
