A simple full-screen drawing app for RPi touch screen?

Mon Oct 26, 2015 5:41 pm

I've done an "apt-cache search drawing" but the choice is too huge. What I'm after it a simple (even black and white), full screen drawing app. The screen will be on a horizontal moving platform controlled by 2 stepper motors and another Raspberry Pi; a stylus will be touching the screen, so as the display platform is moved, a picture is drawn on the screen.

As you might have guessed this is then only a step away from a 3D printer, or laser cutter.

Any preferred apps you can suggest?

TIA

How about mtpaint?

Or if you can't find anything else there's always the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP).

Thanks Dougie, I'll try them both out.
