No wireless connection icon, only wired (disconnected)

RPi2 on default xsession shows connection icon
but it is always an icon of wired connection
but there is NO icon for wireless connection

Is there a way to display the proper icon?

The Internet Connection Icon is for both Ethernet & Wireless

But I don't have wifi icon, when I use wifi there is always an icon of wired connection and it's showing disconnected (ethernet not plugged in).

The network icon is used by both wired and wifi networks. If you do not have a wifi connection it will show the wired network icon. When you make a wifi connection it will change to the wifi icon.

If you select the icon with your mouse and left click the icon you should see a list of wifi networks. Then select the wifi network you want to connect to.

Sorry, may be I did not understand what you said. Are you saying your wifi on the Pi is working so you can access your network and the internet from your Pi but the icon is still showing the two computers and not the wifi icon? Like this

If it is then I don't know why your icon has not changed to the wifi icon.
