Hello,

How can I use remote management on Screenly OSE? I didn't find any document. Is that possible to use on a cloud?

Thanks

Thanks for your answer.

I tried to use the same procedure Pi-Gen using the Screenly files.

That's correct?

Or can you kindly explain me the right steps?

Thanks a lot
For example you can:
- Create dir

Code: Select all

./stage2/04-new-edits

- Make your new features and edits in file

Code: Select all

./stage2/04-new-edits/00-run.sh

- Add packages in file

Code: Select all

./stage2/04-new-edits/00-packages

Then try build it

Code: Select all

sudo ./build.sh

Hi! Could you describe your problem in more detail by creating a issue on github?

I'm fairly new to the Pi. Currently I have a QuadBoot image running and configured. Running Raspian, RasPlex, Retropi, Kodi.

How would I go about installing Screenly OSE without wiping out my image?Ideally I'd just like to add it to my current setup. Would running an install via the terminal wipe it all out?

I have a slide show with 3 urls that cycle 2 mins then 10 seconds and 10 seconds looping. I've been getting one of the urls having a loading error. (site problem I'm assuming) which I would be fine with every once in a while. Problem is screenly stops completely until reboot. It doesn't ever load the next asset so it hangs on the failed url.

I am looking for a way to change the asset location. I'd like to move it from the microSD card to an attached thumb drive. Could some one point me in the right direction?

Thank you for your time.

Paul

Used ctrl+alt+F1 to exit Screenly.io OSE. How to restart without reboot

Used ctrl+alt+F1 to exit Screenly.io OSE and make configuration changes.

Is there a way to restart Screenly.io OSE without doing a reboot?

The install is Sprint 8 downloaded in Feb 2019, running on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+

Hi guys, since the "company" is bitchy if you ask question on their "support"-site I have to ask here:

1. Can I use a USB-drive for the content that is uploaded or do I just have to symlink/hardlink the content-directory to a USB-drive without breaking the whole installation?

2. It would really cool if Screenly OSE would have daily and weekly repeating playlist-entries.... it's not really convinient to set stuff that happens daily or weekly at the same time again and again. Any way to get this working?

Haven't installed the latest version, so if the latter thing was already patched in, ignore this. :) If not (and if there is no way to solve this): any other alternative software similar to Screenly that runs offline (locally)?

Thanks pals. :D

HI !

Screenly OSE crashes and causes an error message on the web pages after a while.

Here is the error message:

Unable to load page
Problem occured while loading the URM
https://www ......
Error performing TLS handshake: An unexpected TLS packet was received.

This has been reproducible on a Raspberry PI 3 B +, as well as on a Raspberry 2, the problem is identical. Also tested on 2 different internet connections and recurring problem.
It is really binding and it forces to electrically disconnect the device for it to go again.

version of screenly ose: image_2018-11-23-Screenly-OSE-lite

The blocking pages were the screen time we app app itself or a web page itself.

Thank you
