How can i set the "bits of per word" as 16?

Tue Oct 20, 2015 2:27 am

Below are the code of the spidev_test.c form the kernel, I can run it under the 'bits of per word=8' but can not set it to 16. I wonder konw why.

The main SPI device only supports 8 bits per word (9 if you go through some hoops). The auxiliary device supports different word sizes.
