[RESOLVED] Jessie + RPF Display + Florence virtual keyboard

Mon Oct 12, 2015 8:05 am

Hi,

I had florence working well with Wheezy. I did a clean install of Jessie and Florence and her display is much better than with the wheezy version but I have 2 problems:

1. How to I add Florence to the application tool bar? She appears in the main menu but not in the list of apps that can be added to the tool bar.

2. She crashes as soon as I touch the keyboard characters in the screen to type on a console window - anyone else seen this?

TIA

I am also seeing this issue, but it is not limited to the terminal. I also see it in LibreOffice writer, Ephipany, etc..

It is every app I use too - I'd only tried the console window, but it happens for anything. I tried Florence in mouse and touchscreen mode but neither work.

Interestingly, if you touch the 'settings' spanner in the left of the keyboard, that works fine, so it's something to do with the standard virtual keys rather than any special ones.

Fixed: By installing at-spi2-core, Florence works beautifully in 'mouse' mode - i.e. a tap on the keyboard is interpreted as a mouse click

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install at-spi2-core
