Seems like a new idea?!

I had an idea, and did a bunch of searching without any luck finding someone trying this. I was interested in locating a RAID stack that uses SDHC cards for the drives. I was thinking the "I" in RAID applies since you can get multi gig cards for dirt cheap. The second advantage is; power consumption is extremely low (one of the setbacks for hard drive RAID), and size factor. I was thinking this could be a real good fit for Raspberry Pi, thinking a RAID 5 set could probably fit onto a HAT board without too much effort, especially if micro SD was used.

I am not exactly a hardware person, so I don't have the capability of doing this myself. But, if anyone has any information on an existing device, or if someone starts a GoFundMe for something like this, please let me know.
