disable link-locap IPv4

Tue Oct 06, 2015 3:56 pm

Hi All,

I'm trying to disable link-local auto assignment (169.254.0.0/16) to my interfaces

I purged, avahi-daemon, avahi-autoipd and no config files
left in /etc. But it still does not work.

Could you give me some
suggestions? Thanks!

It's done by dhcpcd when there's no DHCPOFFER packet returned on an interface to a DHCPDISCOVER within the pre-defined time limit.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. That s why I could see the IP assigned after some hours that I had digited "ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0".

Do you suggest to remove the packet or change something in dhcpd config/code/cript?

Thank You

Federico
