Retropie custom controller configuration

Wed Sep 30, 2015 10:21 pm

Hi,
I'm new to this forum as I have recently decided to make a raspberry pi boy. I am using a RPI b. I have beeb reading a lot about controller configuration but I didn't really find a good answer. The custom controller I am going to be using is this one - http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/co ... button-pcb . u am connecting this to the gpio pins and was just wandering what the easiest way to set this up would be as setting up USB controllers seems to be very simple.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks (:

Hey jaguar.

It appears to me as if you want the pins to connect it to the pi... I myself am quite close to the owner of kitsch bent and he tols me this.

"There is no way, I know, to connect to pcb via usb. However. If you do wish to connect it via gpio you will need to connect it to a variety of pins that are all actually labeled on the board"

I understood this and made a list of the pins needed to connect it. I would attach a pic but the files to big.

The pins and their corresponding slots are:

Up: Gpio 10
Down: Gpio 17
Left: Gpio 25
Right:gpio 9
Select: gpio 7
Start: gpio 8
GND: any gnd marked slot
A: Gpio 11
B: Gpio 23

Hopefully this helps you friend ^^

thanks for the brilliant responce!
unfortunetly the pcb is due to take 2 - 8 WEEKS to get to me
but will defentaly keep this topic close to hand when it comes to that point :D
i was under the impression that you could just put any of the controls on the usable pins and you would just have to configure them, but i guess i was wrong!
thanks joey!
