Best pdf viewer for raspberry pi 2

Wed Sep 30, 2015 8:47 am

Hi everyone

Wanted to know if anybody had reviewed or done some tests as to which is the
best pdf viewer on the raspberry pi 2. Have tried the built in pdf viewer but found
it to be quite slow.

Thanks

Have you tried evince?
Any language using left-hand whitespace for syntax is ridiculous

Thanks for the suggestion. Seems to work much better.

Any idea why pdf viewer is used as default and pre-installed on
Raspbian if it is seemingly slower than evince?

It's impossible to work out why some packages come ready installed and others needs to be added after the initial installation. The folks picking the packages to include are a law unto themselves.

In all my years in software support I've never been able to give anyone a coherent answer to a "Why was it done that way?" question.
