Standard or NoIR Camera

Fri Sep 11, 2015 10:20 pm

Hi;

I ma putting together a shopping list for a teaching pack of 10 sets of raspberry Pis and addons. We will get 10 cameras to go with the kits but my question is should I get a mix of standard and NoIR cameras or just 10 of one type.

How effective are the NoIR cameras in daylight and low light, if using them in a Bird Box do you need an IR light source?

Thanks

NoiR cameras are NOT more sensitive to light than normal camera's, so yes, you will need to add infrared light if there is no natural infrared light.
