Raspberry Pi 1 B model power/starting

Fri Sep 04, 2015 9:41 am

Hello

After finally getting my hands on one and after putting everything on it I've got one problem.

For powering I'm using Mini Usb Charger 5V 2.1 A and as a cable normal sony mobile phone charging cable.
(EDIT: It also makes a lot of noise... like weird noise when plugged in - on charger )
Now my issue is that POWER indicator is RED and constantly is ON ( glowing if I may say it like this )
Now issue is ACT is blinking or it doesn't "glow".

I have tried to connect my keyboard ( it did not power up ) and mouse ( it did power up ) and connected to a TV via HDMI and nothing showed :/

Is maybe that mobile phone cable too weak or? Is it not receiving enough power?

Gonna just go to shop and buy a cable.
They go cheap.
Now other issue is I can't format my SD card even with SDFormatter4

Keeps saying 70mb but it should say 16Gigs
