VGA to HDMI cable. will this work?

Hi there people.
Ive foundt his cable on ebay. Will it work and let me connect a vga screen to my pi?

I recently bought this on and that doesnt work at all. I might just be unlucky and got me self a product that didnt work but no luck, so thought id ask before i send all my money to china.

Ive seen ppl using something like this but thats another pricegroup.

No HDMI-to-VGA cables will work unless they include some "active electronics" to convert the (digital) HDMI signals to (analogue) VGA signals. Only the third one you link to appears to do that. Putting it another way - you need to search for a HDMI-to-VGA adapter. FWIW, the two types I've used are shown in my webpages linked to below:
