Raspberry Pi 2 Not working. Why?? (solved)

When powered on, green LED turns on, then goes off whilst red LED turns on and stays on, though not blinking at all.
From what I read, red LED not blinking suggests my Raspberry Pi 2 is not booting up normally.
At first, the TV displays a black screen with a header "Recorder 1 (raspberry)" for a second. This suggests HDMI port on TV has detected the Raspberry Pi. But then the screen becomes colorful as shown by attached pictures.
Next, the header text "Recorder 1 (raspberry)" disappears and leaves me with a blank colorful screen forever.
Has anyone encountered the same symptom?
Any idea what may be wrong with this Raspberry Pi 2 that I bought from ebay?

Also, if the PWR LED turns of you did not apply enough voltage to the PI, either your supply cannot handle the required current, of you are using a bad power cable.

Splash screen problem solved!!
Problem solved by reformatting SD card and installing the latest NOOBS.
