dualboot without losing my current os?

Thu Aug 20, 2015 2:01 pm

Hi,
I just started with Rpi 2 and I installed openelec. I also installed some addons and I made an IR receiver for it. Is there a way to multiboot without losing my config files? Basically add a new (retropi) OS without formatting?

Two answers:
  1. Yes, but it is a bit complicated and possibly error-prone, so it can't really be described in a forum post. You will need basic (and not so basic) Unix skills to pull it off.
  2. Many forum posters will tell you to get another SD card. Having multiple cards is certainly the most straightforward way to get "multiboot" functionality.
And some folks need to stop being fanboys and see the forest behind the trees.

(One of the best lines I've seen on this board lately)

Do you think it is possible to mirror my sd card and re-install it with berryboot?
