Satellite Image GPS

Fri Jul 31, 2015 10:14 pm

Sometime I wonder if Google doesn't change the server name just to stop people from doing this but I suppose that'd be a conspiracy theory... and only the government can make those without looking like a bug-eyed loon.

So for those of you needing GPS nirvana on your Pi 2, after you get FoxTrotGPS up and running edit the link for Google's satellite and make it:
then clear out all the zero length files the old link left behind:
rm -r ~/Maps/googlesat/
You can then drive around town with a little blip on a satellite image. :D
