vga666 color missing

Thu Jul 23, 2015 2:25 pm

Hi,

I installed gert's vga666 adaptor. I tested the board, and everything worked fine. I was getting my screen output to a VGA monitor with no problem. I installed the board for its target application, and it worked without problems for a week. The board had been running without any modifications, no code updates, just turn the thing on and watch.

But now when I turn the thing on, the output is very magenta. It seems that green is entirely missing. For example, the [ ok ] printfs at system startup appear only as [ ]. The letters "ok" used to be green.

Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Have you checked that your monitor still works with all colors using another computer?

If the monitor works, it could be some bad solder-joints. You could measure continuity with e.g. an ohm-meter.
