using I2C/spi to lcd1602 module with RPI

Mon Jul 20, 2015 10:59 pm

Hi all,

In order to reduce the number of pins required to connect the following 20x4 LCD display: http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00MODA ... ge_o05_s00
, I plan to buy the following I2C/spi to lcd1602 module:
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/1602LCD-Affichag ... 51c4e8509e

But, I'm afraid to damage my RPI b+ since the input voltage of I2C/spi to lcd1602 module is 5v.

I am wondering if someone have already used this module with RPI?
Cordially,

Thank you sopra,

Did you connected the module to 3.3v or 5v pin of the RPI ?
If there is some code showing how to print characters to screen through this interface I will be thankful to share it

Salam my Friend Supra,

Thank you a lot for the link.
I will try it once I receive the module.
