Spotify/ Deezer raspberry pi 2b

Thu Jul 16, 2015 4:56 pm

Hello,

I'm new to raspberry so I could use some help. I bought a raspberry pi 2b with the plan of using it with spotify and deezer through the webplayer.

problem: Flash

I tried different images of different OS but can't get anything to work. Raspbian, ubuntu mate,

I'm looking for a light image that has flash pre-installed so I can use the webplayer for spotify and deezer.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thx

As stated a million times Adobe Flash is not Natively Supported on any Operating System available for the RPi ;)

There are workarounds like PepperFlash for Chromium Browser viewtopic.php?f=66&t=99202

Or install LMS (Logitech Media Server) and get Deezer - then add in the Spotify (premium) plug-in to get that.
You can then initiate playing via web browser or mobile phone apps.

Thx for the reply

I know flash is not supported that's why I ask what image has flash or gnash or pepper flash pre installed so I can use the web player. The use of the web player is key for me.

Thx

The answer is none.

You have to install it on whatever distro you want to run it on.

So your question should be "Which distro makes it easiest to install pepperflash?"

Forget gnash it doesn't work.

thx for the reply but I hate it when people do this on a forum. I'm looking for help, an answer so maybe in your reply you could answer your own question because if I knew the answer I wouldn't be asking it... :(

Buy an Android Tablet, to be fair to the RPF the RPi was never created / designed to be a full Desktop Replacement but as a tool for Eduction and Learning.

It was community developers who pushed the RPi to be capable of so much more......

Even Android OS has never worked and the RPF have stated it is not a priority

I personally use an Android Tablet and Chromecast for MultMedia :D

What error did you get when trying to install the Pepperflash?

I installed pepperflash a while ago and have played Spotify music successfully using the web player, so it has to be something wrong with your installation.

Could it be because my interest in running flash on a raspberry pi is zero. If I have to suffer that pile of steaming insecurity I'll risk running it on a Win81 laptop (where it appears to work after the daily round of patches are applied).

If you have no interest in Flash... why do you reply on a question regarding flash?

And for the people who do care and want a sollution: I found it with raspEX who has build with flash pre-installed.
