What kind of ventelation is needed for a wood case?

I have a router, drills, and chisels for squaring drilled holes. The thing that keeps me from actualy making a case is the fact I'm not sure if a wooden clamshel would give enough heat dissipation or not. Yes I know theoretically the Pi will be fine, but I'd rather double check before drawing anything up.

A number of popular cases (like the PiBow) have very little ventilation and no real issues, so I suspect you won't have a problem.

Depends a little on use case. If you are running a Pi2 with maximum overclock and four cores fully busy with 3d/isp/video going on in a hot environment, then you may want to ensure some ventilation.

With a less extreme use case, it's unlikely to be a problem.

That's the main reason I like the Raspberry Pi 2 over the competition like Orange Pi Plus and Banana Pi M2... they suck so many watts you need a special power supply and a well ventilated case. My Intel SoC sucks a measly 7.5 watts at 2Ghz so it seems unreasonable to me to need more than 10 watts for one of these wimpy things.

I've got heat sinks on my Pi 2 and that's all. A fan would be an unnecessary moving part.
