Libreoffice 4.0

Tue Jun 23, 2015 4:50 pm

Hi does anyone know if i can install LibreOffice 4.0 on wheezy? For example putting the testing Jessy repository and doing apt-get install LibreOffice. Will that upgrade LibreOffice?

I got the PI model B, B+ and PI 2 model B.
When will I get the A? I don't know.

It looks like Raspbian jessie has Libreoffice 4.3, so yes you can upgrade to that either by upgrading just the required packages and pinning everything else to wheezy (search for apt pinning), or by taking a bit of a chance and upgrading your entire system to jessie, after making a good backup of the system ideally on another SD card and checking it works first.
