accessing internet in openelec

Sat Jun 20, 2015 10:10 am

I have just installed openelec on my new RPI 2 B, WiFi is working well but how do you access the internet whilst in openelec. I don't know how to open a browser for example to download a zip file. I have installed chrome launcher but cannot get it to work, so either it doesn't work or I am not doing it correctly. Also what about opening a terminal from within openelec. I had kodi on an android box previously & it booted into desktop where I could browse the internet or choose to launch kodi but of course this just boots straight into kodi
Thanks

There is no web browser in OpenElec, the KODI interface is intergrated, it is a Media Centre Operating System

Installing KODI in Raspbian should cover your needs:

So basically for 3rd party addons i'll have to use another OS to download zip file on another PC then install on RPI via the USB ?
What is the chrome launcher for?
