Pi 2 B and video

Folks,

I have 5 Pi devices, 4 of which are used for specific functions. My latest is thew quad core Pi 2 B which I have just tried Ubuntu Mate on.

Very brief experience is positive but video still seems to be a problem. BBC news videos will not play reporting not compatible with this device. Trying to receive a video stream using VLC unsuccessful.

I know video will work fine using Kodi/XBMC as it does so on my other devices but is video still a wee bit of a problem on the quad Pi?

Install livestreamer

Then play BBC news with this command
