Hello guys,
My Raspberry Pi's network services randomly crashes, if I don't connect the serial console on the GPIO pins.
Basically I run Samba and SSH on my Raspberry Pi. When I don't have the serial console connected, both SSH and Samba crash within 5 minutes, when I copy files to Raspberry Pi via Samba. After I lose connection via SSH, I connect up the serial console pins without rebooting, the Raspberry Pi is still alive. At this point, the Raspberry Pi is still pingable, but both SSH and Samba are dead.
However the problem does not occur when I have the GPIO header pin physically connected to my USB serial adapter, during the file copying process.
I wonder why that happens, can anyone provide a possible explanation? I know it sounds weird, but that is actually what happens.
