How RPi 2 so cheap USA Microcenter

Sun May 31, 2015 2:58 am

I picked up my 3rd RPi 2B at Microcenter in USA for $29 USD instead of the MSRP $35.
How's it so damn cheap?
Are they factory rejects?

At newark.com its $35 plus tax plus shipping which comes out to just over $43USD.

I have been buying gear from MicroCenter for several decades and never had a problem with anything sold new. I bought both of my Pi2s from their local store here in the states and have had no problems.

My sales receipt says "MCM Electronics". MCM also sells them for $35 + tax + shipping.

The online store shows $5.00 discount with no explanation, however that price is for in-store purchase only. Limit 10.
Looks like just a ploy to get you into the store to buy other stuff.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
