USB Dongle for speed.

Good day,

I am looking to use my pi2 for a speech recognition project, however I am finding using the wifi adapter I have now (150/Mbps 802.11N from the pi hut) can be a bit slow when uploading recorded speech for recognition (I need free form dictation so offline speech recognition will not be viable)

I am recording at the lowest possible sample rate for the microphone using PyAudio so now I am just looking for pure up/download speed.

Can anyone recommend a good alternative?

Most people are limited by there ISP speed not the local hardware.

Try reducing the bit depth and compressing it with flac.

Result from speed test is : Speed Test » 25.5/21.68 megabit/second

I am actually already using flac, it was working quite nicely on my desk, I have noticed the results decreasing ever since mounting it on the wall across the room, I wonder if it may have something to do with the range of the adapter? (it is still in the same room as the router though)
