DHT22 and Pi B?

Hi all,

I'm stumbling while trying to get the DHT22 temp/humid sensor to work with my Pi B per Adafruit and Sparkfun instructions. Has never gotten a reading and I tried both 4.7K and 10K resistors. Is the Pi B too slow (I have nothing else connected)? I verified my Pi B 3.3V GPIO pin is working. Thanks.
