keyboard characters mismatching. when i typed @ it display "

hello,

in my raspberry pi keyboard characters are mismatching. when i type @ symbol it display's "(double invited) and if i pressed \(back slash character) it display's #(sharp symbol). what problem is this..? how can i solve this problem..
please tell me...

The Raspberry Pi uses GB UK keyboard layout by default, therefore you need to change the layout, if you have Raspbian OS installed raspi-config is used for configuration:

Well, what country are you in? I'm in the US, so I would select US.

You should select the keyboard layout that matches your keyboard.
