Bluetooth boots me off ssh and other problems

Sat May 02, 2015 2:28 pm

Hi,

This is my first time posting on a forum in a long time so please be understanding if I forgot some necessary information or other social nuances.

So, I have been playing around with my raspberry pi as a MPD media server, bluetooth system, and surveillance camera. I have run into a few problems along the way which I can't seem to solve. My first problem has been with getting VNC to show the blueman-manager so that I can easily pair my speakers. when I try and start the manager from ssh it just throws up a some load error which involves the gui and some python script. I will try to get the actual error if someone thinks it will help. Strangely enough when I logout through vnc nothing happens. I don't actually log out, but the blueman-manager can suddenly be accessed. I don't understand this at all. I am guessing that I might need to try installing a different gui or and different VNC.

Secondly and more importantly, when I have finally paired the speaker and try to play some music my VNC freezes and when I exit and try to reconnect i get errors saying that it's unable to connect to the host. This problem is the most frustrating because i have to go and pull the plug on the pi and start all over.

If anyone could share some advice or a link to some information it would be much appreciated.
