JSON server

If I wanted to run a JSON server where should I unpack the tar file? Is there a certain directory it needs to be in?

Thanks

Bill

Nope.
It can be anywhere, like /home/pi/whatever

But usually for convenience we put software which is not part of the distro into /opt/
