Raspberry pi not showing in router page.

Hello, I had been using my raspberry pi as a mumble server. I decided to install a webserver as well using this which uses apache and lighttpd. After that, my pi is no longer recognized under device names in my router. Additionally, the router forgets my port forwarding settings which essentially disable both servers.

What can cause this and what can I do to fix it? I'd prefer not to do a clean install.

Have you configured your RPi with a fixed IP address on your LAN?

You probably did this already but try restarting your router. My BT home hub is always forgetting devices.

yes I did. While I could still connect to the pi at that fixed address, it still didn't show the name of the pi. Thanks

yeah no luck there.

I ended up just reformatting the card. and just redoing the mumble server.

You should connect a TV and a keyboard, pull the power, reboot and take a deep look at what happens on reboot.

Okay so it happened again even after the format. I think when I'm making the pi static ip; its messing something up. Perhaps this is a problem others have had?

Could you show how you are setting your Pi to a static IP? (Link to instructions used, if any. Contents of /etc/network/interfaces, etc)

You're missing an auto eth0 statement, so the eth0 won't come up active automatically.

Get rid of the network and broadcast lines, they aren't needed and cause trouble if you include them.

Hi All,

I have exactly the same issue, my ISP is Plusnet when I login to the Router the map of the Router shwos everything but my RasPi,

I am running a VPN Srever on it it worked for few days and now won't connect because it is not recognized by the Router.

Is there and issue with RasPi 3 and Static IP? I am running the same thing on my laptop usisng UBUNTU, and had no problems at all.

Any suggestions at all.
