ImageCapture not supported?

I have a webcam connected, it works with fswebcam.

I googled around for how to capture an image in Mathematica. Seems ImageCapture, CurrentImage, and the like work.

Except, I get this:

ImageCapture::notsupported: Image acquisition is not supported on Unix.

If I google around, it seems that goes back a few releases. Is it really still not supported on Unix/Linux, or is it just Raspberry Pi missing out?

Will this functionality be coming soon?
