Adjustable Breadboard Power Supply Question

Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:02 am

Hi All,

http://www.emartee.com/product/42190/Ad ... pply+V2.0/

I have one of these breadboard power supplies, and I am wanting to purchase the correct input power supply to be able to power directly from a power point in my house.

I am unsure what specific power supply adapter I need to purchase. I assume the adapter that plugs into this device is specific and I need to get it correct.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks

The input voltage: 6.5-12 V (DC) or USB power supply
So, you can use any good DC power supply within those specs, and with the right (5.5mm/2.1mm barrel jack, positive tip) connector. You'll find plenty 9V or 12V supplies like these advertised for Arduinos. I'd choose 9V, might keep it cooler.

Here's a 1A one from the same site. I can't speak to quality; I get my power supplies from Adafruit.
