WiFi Configuration Utility

Fri Apr 03, 2015 8:22 pm

I would like to add a WiFi adapter connection to my Raspberry Pi while I'm still connected to it via an Ethernet cable, using the Wi-Fi configuration utility. When I attach the adapter to the Pi I loose my Ethernet connection. My router has broadcast SSID enabled and I'm assuming the adapter name is the 802.11n printed on it. I'm hoping this utility will provide me with an IP address.

Addendum: I've managed to connect both WiFi and Ethernet simultaneously without disconnecting and opened the Configuration Utility. The Adapter name: wlanO was automatically entered and I added my Network name: 0:#####

Under the Current Status tab: Status: Scanning, Last Message: WPS-AP-Available
Under the Manage Networks tab: Network: 0:#####, Enabled
Under the WPS tab: Status: WPS AP detected
