I have just put 'Pi2B-Fedora-KDE-armhfp-21-5-20150301-1-sda' on and am trying to get the Piface Emulator installed. I had no problems with '2015-02-16-raspbian-wheezy' but quite like the Fedora. Is it possible to do this or am I wasting my time?

If you git clone the appropriate stuff from http://github.com/piface you should be able to get that running. You'll need the libmcp23s17 stuff and the piface stuff.
