Micro Display (near eye module)

Mon Mar 30, 2015 11:41 am

Hello guys,
i'd like to make a project with my pi: an helmet with HUD or with an OEM (Optical Engine Module) like google glass.

After lot (and lot and lot and lot) of research, i've found only 2 possible solutions:
- solution 1: buy a "video glasses" and make something like this: http://www.raspberrypi.org/google-glass-pi-style/
- solution 2: buy an OEM from china sites: http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/L ... 36284.html

Problem with solution 1: the micro screen is too small and it is not transparent if you use it with 3d printed parts (like project linked)
Problem with solution 2: i don't know how to control it.

My question is: does anyone knows alternatives solutions? It is possible to use some particular lens with classic 1.8 adafruit display (or other smaller display) to avoid near eye focusing problem?

Thank you so much and sorry for my bad english.

Anyone knows if there are some tricks to avoid focusing problem with normal small screens (like adafruit 1.8'') put near eyes? For example a particular lens?

For the optical focus I did found this:
