Audio App?

Fri Mar 27, 2015 8:30 am

My fuzzy video is now sorted but I cannot find any audio players. I put an MP3 on and it tries to find an audio player but cannot. There is very little of anything in the Pi Store and what there is is impossible to download. I click the download button and nothing happens.

Thanks

You can try omxplayerGUI from the kweb package :

http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 66&t=40860

Or use VLC (don't try to use it for video though) :

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

Don't look for apps in the app store but in the Raspbian repositories. Install synaptic
sudo apt-get install synaptic
The run it and use its search function to find applications.
Minimal Kiosk Browser (kweb)
Slim, fast webkit browser with support for audio+video+playlists+youtube+pdf+download
Optional fullscreen kiosk mode and command interface for embedded applications
Includes omxplayerGUI, an X front end for omxplayer

Thank you for your replies. I use VLC on my Macbook so will have a look at that. Thanks also for the info on the Raspbian repositories. :D :D

Just installed VLC but there is still no sound. I am connected to monitor via HDMI so don't know what is wrong.
