Raspberry Pi 2 reset pin problem

Thu Mar 26, 2015 5:57 pm

Hello,
first sorry for the double post. But I think my post belongs to troubleshooting and not in off topic.

I have a problem with the reset pin.
As soon as I solder a wire at the reset pin that is longer than 1,5cm the Raspberry Pi 2 makes a reset when I touch Ethernet connector shell or the USB connector shell with a tool.
With the same conditions I try the Raspberry Pi B and the Raspberry Pi B+ and there a no problems.
I also try a different Raspberry Pi 2, same problem.
On the PCB I don’t find any Pull-up or capacitor for the reset pin.
Greetings Tobias

I have seen the schematic of the B2 but I do not have a copy.
As far as I know the reset circuit of the B2 is totally different.
There has been a major overhaul.
I am sure somebody from the foundation will be able confirm (or deny) this tomorrow.

Hello,

I try to follow the reset wire and I don´t find any Resistors or capacitor.

I also try to add a 3,9k resistor and a 100nF capacitor to the reset wire, but it is the same problem.

Thanks for your help

Greetings Tobias
