Micro SD card

Wed Mar 25, 2015 12:27 pm

I have just received my Pi 2 and discovered that the SD card is micro. I will get one from Amazon probably but the question is: Is it worth getting a 16 GB or an 8 GB? The cost difference is minimal but will I be able to use the extra memory?

Thanks

Since the price difference is small, get the larger one. You can use the space for storing files or whatever.

Later, when you buy a bigger card (for less money) the current card will still be a useful size.

At work we have been using Pi2's with 8GB of SD, and I've just had to upgrade to 32GB as was consistently running out of space. But I am doing a lot of compiling of big projects!
