I set up my RasPi with a long (~10m) Ethernet cable, and have not been able to connect to my router. Whenever I attempt a DHCP request (either at startup or by running "ip link set eth0 up"), the terminal returns
RTNETLINK answers: Unknown error 4008
After some Googling, I have not been able to find any solutions specific to my problem, and without the internet I won't be able to install xfce. I would switch to Debian to use a gui, but it won't accept input from my keyboard or (ironically) my mouse. Despite this, and not actually being able to download any files, the 10M and link lights are lit of the Pi, and the Ethernet indicator is lit on my router. I do not have any static DHCP IPs set up.
Any help is appreciated in advance
