Tue Mar 10, 2015 10:49 am

Hi all,
can someone please link me to a guide about how to configure an sftp server on RPi to enter from internet with chroot users with no shell access? I'm quite newbie to Debian and not sure about what to do expecially about safety
Many thanks

It's already there and enabled by default. sshd includes sftp.

Hi Dougie,
do you think this guide is enough complete?

is this config enough safe or would you prefer an access with a private key instead of a login with username and password?
Thanks

You don't need to do anything, it's already configured, it's already and set to go. Just connect to your RPi's IP address from a remote sftp client.

I think the OP wants to access the SFTP service from the Internet, in which case he needs a guide to setting up keys and other basic hardening. Unfortunately I haven't got time to look for one right now. I might write one but that won't be for several weeks.
