Browser with dns plugin and Netflix

Sat Feb 28, 2015 2:18 pm

Hi

At the moment I've got a Windows PC running as a Netflix machine, running Firefox with a DNS plugin to get US content. The machine is use for general browsing too.

Is it possible to make a similar setup with a Raspberry Pi?

Ahem comprehension

"Uname: Linux 3.13.0-35-generic x86_64"

"Chromium is unable to use the widevine component from google chrome : libwidevinecdmadapter.so and libwidevinecdm.so"

As the 2 files are compiled for Google Chrome which only supports x86-32 & x86-64, how is relevant to ARM architecture or have I missed something :?:

I thought Netflix had been made available on Linux through Chrome.

I'm aware. I read through all of all that and more. From what it sounds like to me, this method might be possible on chromium for ARM.

That much I've found out. That should be the reason that it's become available on Linux, since Silverlight isn't needed then.

I haven't used Linux or Raspberry Pi before, so need to understand the ARM/x86 (in)compatibility thing...
