RPi3 a2db

Tue Mar 08, 2016 2:26 pm

Hello everyone

Is it possible to use a2db Bluetooth headphones with the build in Bluetooth of the raspberry pi 3?
i can pair using bluetoothctl, but I don't come further.
I have tried many solutions online, but none worked. :(

Thanks in advance

I have not seen a guide for A2DP on Jessie. I'm sure it's not hard to do. You will need to install PulseAudio and some Bluetooth modules, and configure a few things. I may write it up soon, but I'm waiting on my Pi3. This thread may help: https://github.com/ev3dev/ev3dev/issues/198

Thanks for the answer and the link.
I'm going to try it asap and let you know how it goes. ;)
Maybe I'll write a guide myself. :)

Yay! I'd like to see it with PulseAudio running in 'system mode'; I think that thread discusses it.

I just managed to get BT audio up and running on the RPi3 using this guide: https://github.com/davidedg/NAS-mod-con ... Audio5.txt

But what I can't figure out is how to auto connect to the bluetooth speaker after a reboot.

Thanks for the link. I followed it and it worked like a charm! ;)

Try adding this at the end of /etc/pulse/system.pa

Code: Select all

.ifexists module-bluetooth-policy.so
load-module module-bluetooth-policy
.endif
Also, I find a resample method of 'speex-fixed-3' gives noticeably better sound quality than 'trivial', without much more CPU.

Hey! i made myself a car hands free bluetooth device. When starting the car my rpi boots up and connects my phone. I achieved this with a simple script:

#!/bin/bash

sleep 30
echo -e 'power on \nconnect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX\nquit' | bluetoothctl

AND added it to crontab:

@reboot sh ~/blueconnect.sh
*/5 * * * * sh ~/blueconnect.sh

now at boot up my phone is autmatically connected, and if i go out of range and come back, it will soon reconnect.

question, new here: is this enough elaboration for this forum or should i add a "nano ~/xxx", "crontab -e" etc. ?
